Rebecca A. Heilman

Rebecca is originally from southern Arkansas. She was valedictorian of her high school class, and graduated magna cum laude from Southern Arkansas University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She was selected by the faculty as the History, Political Science, and Geography Department Outstanding Student. She was also elected president of the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society by her peers.

In 2012, Rebecca relocated to New Orleans to attend Tulane Law School, where she earned the highest grade in the class in both State & Local Taxation and Partnership Tax; she also volunteered with several income tax programs to promote tax literacy among high school students and the indigent. During law school, Rebecca also completed a year-long externship with The Advocacy Center, a Louisiana non-profit law firm committed to helping people with disabilities and the elderly.

After receiving her Juris Doctor in May 2015, Rebecca successfully passed the Louisiana Bar Exam and was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in October 2015. Having practiced exclusively family law and elder law, Rebecca joined Treadaway Law, LLC in November 2020. Rebecca is licensed to practice in every parish, and she has experience in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. Charles, St. John, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines parishes. Rebecca’s non-legal experience is primarily in banking.

Rebecca lives in the Broadmoor neighborhood of New Orleans. She regularly volunteers with Animal Rescue New Orleans. She also enjoys traveling and is an avid gardener.
