Louisiana calculates child support by using a formula developed by the legislature. While this seems like a simple amount to determine, so many factors can affect this formula. These factors may include overtime, second families, second jobs, expense sharing with other individuals, and expense reimbursement. Most of these factors are left to the discretion of the Court as to whether they should be considered in altering the child support amount. Kristyl has calculated child support in scores of cases. Her experience makes her not only knowledgeable in all of these factors, but also provides her the ability to argue why certain factors should or should not be included in calculating child support.
